Christmas Day 2009

I had lots of fun in my stocking and opening my presents. We also went to the school by my house to try out my new bicycle. The next day my Grandpa and Uncle Louis came over and I opened more presents. It was a great Christmas!

Christmas Morning 2009

On Christmas morning I woke up and Daddy and Mommy and Grammy and I went out in the living room to see if Santa had come. He had! I had a new bicycle, a big choo choo train and lots of other fun things. This is me first thing in the morning.

Christmas Eve 2009

On Christmas Eve, I got lots of great things. When I woke up from my nap, my Grammy had come to visit. Then she and Mommy and I went to the nail store and I got pretty fingers and toes. Then we came home and got dressed up for a fancy dinner in the city. It was lots of fun. Daddy let me play a great game on his phone and I behaved really well. Then we came home, put out cookies for Santa and a carrot for the reindeer and I went to bed so Santa could come.

Pretty Fingers and Toes

Mommy goes to the nail store with her friends every once in a while and when she comes back I love to look at her pretty fingers and toes. Daddy decided it would be ok for me to get pretty fingers and toes for Christmas Eve since we were getting dressed up to go to dinner. I picked sparkly red polish. It was fun. Grammy and Mommy came with me. I was the hit of the salon!

Gingerbread House

Mommy made me some gingerbread so we could make a house. We had to do it in pieces to let the walls dry and then put on the roof. I liked decorating, even though I had to get my fingers a little dirty.

Thank you Schultz Family

I also opened my present from Uncle Louis, Aunt Karrie, Cousin Johnny and Baby Riley. I got lots of princess dolls, but I never expected my own princess dress. Thanks!

Thank you Grandma Donna

I had such a great Christmas and I wanted to let Grandma Donna see me open my present from her since she couldn't be here. I knew exactly what to do with it when I opened it! Thanks a lot Grandma Donna!

Christmas Program 2009

I had my Christmas Program at school last week. We sang songs and danced for our parents. I decided not to look at Mommy and Daddy while I was singing, so Mommy got lots of video of the back of my head. Here is some of what we did.

Visiting Santa

Mommy and Daddy took me to San Francisco so I could tell Santa what I wanted for Christmas. The place we went said Mommy and Daddy couldn't take any of their own pictures. Mommy got away with using her video camera for a little while from a distance, but the photographer noticed her and made her stop. I didn't cry this year and I did tell Santa what I wanted, but I did not smile!

The Tree

Last weekend I helped Mommy and Daddy pick a Christmas tree and then I helped Daddy in all stages of preparing and decorating the tree.

Gymnastics at Home

My suitcase

I love my suitcase. I pulled it all the way from the car, through the parking lot, to our gate at the airport. I get mad if someone wants to pull it for me.

Teacups

My favorite ride at Disneyland was the teacups. We got off, and I asked to go again. The second time, I wanted to do it all, pick the cup, open the door, get in, close the door, spin the cup, open the door and get out. This is the video of the first time around. I almost fell over when we got out because Daddy spun us so fast!

My Hole

The Friday after Thanksgiving I got to do one of my very favorite things. My Uncle Louis lives a few blocks from... the beach! I had a great morning playing in the sand and with all the beach toys we bought that morning, especially the watering can in the set Uncle Louis bought. Daddy dug me a big hole. Later he built me some stairs so I could get in and out by myself. I fell in at one point too, but Mommy didn't have the camera rolling.

Disneyland 2009

I went to Disneyland again! Thursday morning we woke up early and rode an airplane to Los Angeles. Grammy picked us up and drove us to the Magic Kingdom where we met up with Grandpa, Uncle Louis, Uncle Stephen and Aunt Natalie. Uncle Stephen brought me a chocolate cupcake all the way from Las Vegas! First thing we did was go see my friends Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger. I liked them so much this year. I couldn't keep my eyes off them when they first came out and I didn't want to stop hugging Pooh. Uncle Stephen bought me another giant sucker. We went on rides and took pictures and then got in the car to head for the hotel. I was pooped! I had some crackers and played with my new toys, but I couldn't resist the lull of the car ride. It was a great day!

My New Pets

On Wednesday, when I got home from school, there was a box with my name on it waiting outside the door! I love to get mail, especially boxes, and especially boxes from Grandpa. They are always so exciting. Here I am opening the box with my new frogs!

Veteran's Day

Today Mommy and I got to spend the day together. We started by making cookies for Mommy to take to work tomorrow. I put ingredients in the bowl and I helped "clean" the spatula after Mommy was finished with it. Then we went to the zoo with my friend Emma and her Daddy.We met up with Melia and her Mommy and Joey and his brother and Mommy. We had a great time. I got to brush the goats and see all my favorite animals. Then we met Daddy for lunch at his office. It was a nice day, but I am excited to go to school again tomorrow.

Mommy also found out that her friend Sandy had a little girl early (3:30!) this morning. Her name is Jillian Anne and she was 8 lbs. 9 oz, 20 inches long.

Silly Girl

Today Daddy bought a big container to store all our Halloween decorations. I rode in it while he took it to the car and said that I wanted to take my nap in it. I insisted that Daddy bring it inside for my nap as soon as we got home from the store. I made him put all my friends inside and I played for a while. Then Mommy came in and told me if I was staying in the box I had to sleep. She gave me my nap blankie and I went to sleep in the box!

Halloween Songs

At my school party, we all got together in one big circle and sang some songs. Mommy was happy to learn all the words to some of them! I was a little overwhelmed by all the people, but I still did some singing and dancing.

Petting Cows

A few weeks ago, I took a trip up to the farm with Mommy and Daddy. As usual, I wasn't interested in the cows. However, I ran into my friend Gemma from school. She was petting the calves, so I thought, if she can do it, so can I.

Gymnastics

I am taking a gymnastics class once a week at school. Grammy was here during it this week, so Mommy had her come and tape it. This is some of what I do each week.

Halloween 2009

This year was such a great Halloween. First of all, my Grammy came to visit. She came over to my school on Thursday to watch me go across the street and pick a pumpkin at the "pumpkin patch." On Friday, Mommy, Daddy and Grammy came to school to watch our parade around the block and then watch all of us sing some Halloween songs. Then we had a little party. Mommy and I decorated cupcakes too. On Saturday all my friends came over for our monthly potluck. We ate and then trick or treated and ate some more. I loved knocking on doors and ringing ding dongs and then saying trick or treat. My hunny pot got awfully heavy though. Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin Party

We had our second annual pumpkin carving and cookie decorating party last weekend. Some of my friends came over and the daddies carved and we put frosting on cookies and then licked it off. It was fun. Afterwards, when most people had left, Melina and I were taking pictures with Mommy's camera.

Teeter Totter

Daddy rode with me on the teeter totter at the park last week. He bounces me really high and I like it a lot!

Disco Queen

We were on our way to the city for Daddy's birthday dinner last night and a fun song came on the radio. I immediately started dancing in my carseat. Mommy thought I was so cute she grabbed her phone to record the moment.

Pumpkin Pumpkin

I learned a new song at school. Mommy had to coax me a bit in the making of the video. She especially likes when I make my jack o lantern face.

L I L Y

I love letters now. I can recognize L for Lily, E for Emm, G for Gemma and S for Soumi. I can match letters on my blocks and in books to the magnetic letters on the fridge. Its fun. I can also spell one important word.

Spice of Life

I went to the Spice of Life festival this weekend. My grandpa came to visit and we had breakfast at Saul's. Then we went to the park and met my friend Joey. After that we went to the festival. I got to ride a pony again. I played in the recylce area and made art with rocks, flowers and pinecones. Then I danced to the steel drum band. I got to get my face painted again. I had a cheek butterfly put on my face. Then I got some chicken on a stick for lunch. Finally I went to see Marcia and got a morning bun to have after my nap. I had a great day.

Face Painting

I love getting my face painted. The last two times we have gone to a street fair, I have gotten my face painted. Today, Mommy video taped the lady painting a butterfly onto my cheek.

Dancing Girl

I went to the Spice of Life festival this weekend. I got my groove on to a steel drum band that was playing at one end.

"Marshmallow" Test

Mommy went to a training on Tuesday and they talked about this test done in the 70's with kids and marshmallows. So Mommy decided I would be a test subject and came home and tried it on me, but with chocolate. She also didn't know how much time, but I lasted almost two minutes.

Police Man

A policeman visited our school on Monday. In the car on the way home, I told Mommy all the things he taught us. I needed a little prompting when she taped me the next day, but I still remember what he said!

Shooting Hoops

My friend Joey loves to "shoot the hoops" so this weekend when I visited Grammy I gave it a try. I get up there pretty high!

Bye Joey

When I see my friends, we like to give each other hugs when we leave. Mommy loves to watch it, especially with Joey and I. She finally had the camera today. It wasn't the best good bye, we can be cuter, but its still cute. We even do kisses.

Big Girl Swing

I am such a big girl now. We went to the park and not only did I swing on the big girl swing, I hopped off on my own while the swing was still moving.

Garbage Girl

I love to help with all aspects of garbage. Tonight I helped Daddy take the trash out to the porch so he could take it downstairs to the trashcan. I also "tied" the bag up and then I put a new bagin the can and put the can under sink again.

Bocce Ball

We went to breakfast at Pizzaiolo this weekend. They have an area outside to play bocce ball and I worked on my technique for getting the ball all the way to the end.

Fun with Daddy

Daddy and I went skipping together. Well, he skipped and I ran. I don't know how to skip yet!

Making Beer

A few weeks ago, I helped Daddy make a batch of beer to give to our friends the Maloneys when their baby was born. I got to go to the store and help shop and help mix the ingredients together.

Cupcake

The other day Mommy's friend Cathi came to visit us and to go to the Cheeseboard. I had already been earlier in the day and Cathi's niece didn't want to stay, so Mommy walked us over to a cupcake shop. I got a tiny chocolate cupcake. It was great!

Big Girl School

Today was my first day of big girl school. Mommy and I walked over together. We went inside and met my new teachers, Lorna and Blanca. My friend Emma was there and she showed me around. When we had snack she saved a place for me to sit by her. I got to see a juggler and play outside too. When it was time to go, I wanted to stay. Tomorrow I get to go back again, but this time Mommy leaves. I hope she doesn't cry and embarrass me! These are pictures of me before we left (first day of school picture) and then one of me playing in their kitchen and one of me watching the juggler.

My Grammy came over this last weekend. We had lots of fun. I created a new game to play with her and I had tons of fun taking pictures of her.

PB&J

I love to eat Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches right now. But, I have to be able to make it myself or its no good. Daddy and Mommy are not wild about using the peanut butter or jelly after I make my own sandwich. I wonder why.

Monterey Bay

This weekend Mommy and Daddy took me to the Monterey Bay Aquarium to see the new seahorse exhibit. We met my friend Melina and her Mommy and Daddy there. I thought they were interesting, but there were some fun kid activities that I liked better. For example, I got to "feed" whales in the marine mammal room. I fed the humpbacks krill and the killer whales got fish.

We found a new splash zone area with slides and stuff to play on and some dress up clothes. When we left, we had lunch and then I got to go to the beach! I love the beach so much. Here I am playing in the sand.

Potluck

Last night we had our potluck at my friend Tavi's new house in San Leandro. It is pretty big and I had lots of fun. We all ate pizza at the table together and then the girls discovered Tavi's Pack and Play in the corner. We all got in together. Three of us barely fit anymore!

Chocolate Ice Cream Cone

I have been working hard to learn how to use the big girl potty instead of a diaper. This morning, Daddy promised me that if I kept my big girl panties dry and clean all day, that I would get ice cream. All day I told Mommy that I wanted a chocolate ice cream cone. I worked hard today and had no accidents, not even in my diaper when we went out of the house. This is my first chocolate ice cream in a cone that I got to hold all on my own. I think I wore as much of it as I ate.

Friends

I missed my friends on vacation so Mommy and I went to the zoo with Connor and Tavi this week. I also met my friend Joey at the kindergym. It was good to see friends and be silly with them.

No Pictures

While at the zoo, I decided to put on the backpack. Daddy helped me do it up. When he was finished, I noticed that Mommy had out that darn camera again. I let her know what I thought of that.

San Diego

This last weekend I ended my vacation by going to San Diego to see my cousins and my Grandma Donna. After a little while, I warmed up to my cousin Johnny. I do see him often on his blog. We had dinner and played at the park and then the next day we got to go to the San Diego Zoo! Wow, what a place. I saw elephants, lions, jaugars, polar bears, pandas and a black monkey that I talked about for days. It was a great experience. I also rode the skyfari. After naps we went back to Cousin Johnny's for dinner. I didn't like it too much when Mommy was holding Baby Riley. She's cute, but that's my mommy!

I caught a fish! (kind of)

Yesterday Daddy took me fishing. It was pretty boring. There is not a lot of fish catching going on. But eventually I did help Daddy catch a fish. Or I guess, Daddy helped me. It was a spotted bass. I kissed it before we put it back in the water to swim away.

Balboa Part 2

Mommy and Daddy took me to the tidepools with Grammy and Grandpa(video coming soon). Daddy tried to show me a crab and got pinched by it! Then we all went over to the big beach for some ocean time. After that we went to Ruby's on the pier for lunch. When my nap was over, I went fishing with Daddy. We tried to catch fish and failed so then Mommy and Aunt Natalie caught a big bucket of crabs. Then we went to a beach and let them go in a sand castle. I liked watching them run to the water, but I didn't want to touch them due to Daddy's earlier encounter at the tide pools.

S'mores

I had my first beach s'mores. I wasn't too sure about them, especially since they made me a little dirty and sticky. In the end, I really just ate the chocolate that was sitting on the table, waiting to be made into s'mores.

Balboa Part 1

I am on vacation in southern California right now. I started out in Hermosa Beach at my Uncle Louis'. We went on a pier and played drums together. I got to ride the luggage cart at the hotel. We went to dinner in Hollywood at Pizzeria Mozza. I got to eat corn and lots of salami. Then we went to an ice cream store called Milk. I had chocolate, of course.

The next day we came to Balboa Island and met my Grammy. Later on that day my Uncle Stephen and Aunt Natalie and my Grandpa showed up. I got to play with sidewalk chalk at the house and go to the beach and play in the sand and water. It was so fun!

Breakfast

Since Mommy and I have been on summer vacation, our routine has changed some. Daddy gets up early to go to the gym and then when he comes home to get ready for work, I climb out of my bed and into bed with Mommy. After Daddy is all ready, we go to the kitchen for breakfast. I have decided I like to share Daddy's breakfast. He has started eating egg whites with salsa and I have to share on his lap, off his plate. Yummy.

Fourth of July

I had a great Fouth of July. I went to the Farmers' Market in the city for breakfast. Daddy and I shared a mortadella hot dog. I loved it!

Then, when we came home, we went to the park by our house for their celebration. I saw a firetruck, went in several kinds of bounce houses and played on the park structures. The best part of the park was the pony rides. I went twice, even though I had to wait in line for 45 minutes the second time! Mommy got a sunburn.
I took a nap after that and then my friends started to arrive for a bbq. We played on the swing and with my soccer and footballs. We ate lots of good food. Daddy made a pork butt and I had a sandwich. I also had some macaroni salad and fruit. Mommy made ice cream and I really enjoyed that and the whipped cream. I had a whole bowl of whipped cream all on its own.
After my friends left, Mommy and Daddy took me to see fireworks. Daddy thought he grabbed my sweatshirt, but he didn't so he zipped me into his sweatshirt to watch. We snuggled and I saw my first fireworks. I told Mommy and Daddy they were sparkly. What a great day!

Big Girl Bed

Yesterday, Mommy pulled out the Big Girl Bed and set it up for me. I slept in it for the first time last night. This morning, instead of having to wait for Mommy to come get me when I woke up, I just got out of my bed and went to join her in her bed. I love it. I feel like such a big girl. Although, I still have my blankie, pooh bear and giraffe music.

My butterfly

As you know, I have been taking care of a patapillar for some time now. Last night Mommy and Daddy noticed that you could see some color on its wings from inside the cacoon so we brought it inside and put it in a vase. This morning, it was a butterfly! This afternoon, Mommy and I let it go on the patio. The insides of its wings were so pretty. They were orange and red and black. Mommy didn't get a picture of that part, but here is a picture of it from this morning and some video of when we let it go.

Zoo

I went to the zoo with my friends Melia and Melina today. We had fun together seeing the Meer Cats and the giraffes and having snacks. I also went to the petting zoo and instead of crying about the goats, today I pet one and then even brushed one! Mommy was so proud of me.

Sliding in the firetruck

Mommy has been taking me to the gym the last few weeks. I get to go play on my own while she exercises and then we go play together with other kids in the kindergym. I really like playing on the "firetruck." It has a great slide.

Rock Wall

One of my favorite things at the kindergym is the rock wall. I need help, but it is fun to climb!

Circle Time

We also have some circle time. Today I decided to participate for the first time. Here I am dancing and playing music with other kids.

Bounce House

I also got to go in a bounce house for the first time. I wasn't sure the first day, but by the third day, I am a total pro!

Grammy's Coming

I have been so excited that my Grammy is coming to visit me soon. I have gotten to stay home with Mommy the last few days since she has been sick and can't go to work. Today she was cleaning up my room and making the bed so that when Grammy gets here this weekend, it will be clean. I decided I wanted to help so that Grammy will be able to do art with me while she is here. I am not quite clear on when she is coming. I got upset and cried earlier when Mommy said she wasn't coming today.

My chair

Grammy got me this great chair last summer and I just love to sit in it. I also love to climb on it!

ice cream

I insisted on eating my ice cream straight from the container last night. Chocolate. Yummy.

Piggies

I went to Little Farm again today. We celebrated three of my friends' birthdays there. I sang happy birthday to Joey, Melina and Dalia. We went up to see the animals. I cried when I saw the cows, but I really love the piggies. There are three of the piglets left and I actually fed them today! They are cute, like me!

Patapillar

Mommy and Daddy belong to a CSA and get a box of fruits and veggies each week. Lately, we have also been getting flowers too. One of my favorite activities is going to pick them up on Fridays. On the Friday before my birthday, we got sunflowers. About 4 or 5 days later we noticed a patapillar on the leaves. I have been watching him ever since. He has moved outside now and we keep giving him new sunflowers when they come in our bouquets. He has grown a lot. Every time I get near the back door I ask to go see the patapillar.

Cupcakes

My friend Tavi turned two and we went to his party at the park. It was lots of fun, but the best part was the cupcakes. My favorite was the strawberry frosting.

What's Daddy Doing?

I told Mommy what Daddy was doing so she tried to get it on tape. Not as good as when I just do it myself, but still cute she said.

My New Pool

It was hot here this weekend. At least hotter than it usually is. Mommy and Daddy bought me a cool pool for the backyard at one of my favorite places, Target. I had lots of fun in it on Sunday.

I also got a Push Up as a treat. It was yummy. Mommy liked when I tried to suck it out of the stick.

Hot Cocoa

One of my favorite activities is to go to see Marcia and Paul at Masse's. Marcia gives me cookies all the time. Sunday we went on a walk and I got hot cocoa. I get my own little cup and spoon and a tray of whipped cream. Yum :)

Gardening

Over spring break, Mommy and I planted some flowers, some herbs and tomato plant. I help Mommy water them all the time. My friend Berto gave me a sand toy set for my birthday and there was a watering can in it. Now I like to use my own can to help out.

I'm Two!

I had such a great birthday. When I got up in the morning, my Grammy had gotten me a play kitchen. I was very excited. I played for a while and then went swimming. When we were done, we went up to Little Farm for my party. My friends Matthew and Roberto from school came. Most of my friends from my play group came too. My Grandpa and Uncle Stephen and Aunt Natalie came too. We fed the animals, played and had cake! Then we went home and I had a nap. When I woke up, my Uncle Louis was there too. Before my uncles left, we sang again and had cake with ice cream. I put peas in my ice cream. It was tasty. My friend Joey came over to play and we had pizza. It was a great day. I was awfully tired though!

The Big Day

The big day is tomorrow!

I am two tomorrow. I have been talking about my birthday month and my party for the last few weeks. I am very excited. Especially since I have seen cake in the kitchen and boxes keep coming to my door. I can't wait... in the meantime, maybe I will have a little nap.

Easter in Vegas

I had a great Easter this year. The bunny brought me some fun stuff in my basket and he left my eggs in the park by Uncle Stephen's House. I had fun finding them, but not as much fun as coloring them. I broke half of them dropping them into the basket on top of the other ones! I like this Easter Bunny!

Swimming

I went swimming again this weekend. It had been a while since I had been in the pool and I had my own ideas of what I was going to do. My friend Connor was there too.

Little Farm

Yesterday my friend Berto from school turned two. He had his party at Little Farm. It was fun! He had a big balloon that he and our other two friends, Matthew and Brady, chased around and jumped on. We sang happy birthday and had cake and milk. I wanted to see the sheep, but we had to leave early. So Mommy and Daddy took me back today to see the animals. I love the baby piggies and I had fun talking to the turkeys today.

Sin City

Mommy and Daddy took me on my first trip to Vegas last weekend. We flew in very late Thursday night and then spent the day with Uncle Stephen on Friday while we waited for the rest of the family. I had fun playing with Parker and Boone (my doggie cousins), going to Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay (thanks Aunt Natalie) and going to the park. My favorite part was playing in Uncle Stephen's office. I got to spin in his chair and make calls on his phone. On Saturday we had a great breakfast cooked by Aunt Natalie and Uncle Stephen. We went to the strip and then we went bowling. I beat Mommy! I also loved coloring eggs, but that is another story!

Peter Cottontail

Mommy was right in the middle of working on the easter posts when I did something she thought was just the cutest. Uncle Louis gave me a fun card that I really like and I decided to play with it after Mommy had finished drying me, but before she could get any clothes on me. Its so cute she had to post it first!

Touch Tank

I love the touch tank at the Academy of Science. Daddy helped me touch the star fish this time.

New Shoes

Daddy bought me my first pair of "heels" on Sunday. I like them lots, but I am not so good at walking in them yet!

LHS

Mommy and I went to Lawrence Hall of Science. Melia and I played with magnets in a big tank of water.

Spring Break

Mommy and I had a spring break last week and we had tons of fun. Early in the week we had a play date at my friend Dalia's house. We all got in her crib and jumped up and down and Melia and I kept closing ourselves in the closet. Mommy and I went to the park and took walks with the doggie. We also met our friends Krista and Melia at the Lawrence Hall of Science. We had fun in the water room. We played with magnets and water. We went outside too and played in the little river. On Thursday Mommy and I went shopping in the city for an easter dress and then we went to the Academy of Sciences to see the fishies. I just love those fishies. We got to see them being fed. Then we met Daddy for lunch. In the evening we had a play date with Melia while her Mommy and Daddy went to a play. Daddy read to us on the couch. Friday we went to the zoo and went swimming. Then we had our monthly potluck at my friend Melina's. Saturday we went on a candy hunt at the park for easter with my friend's Sofia and Joey. Then later, Joey and his Mommy and Daddy came over for dinner. On Sunday we all went to brunch in the city and then back to the Academy for more fishies. We also went and looked at the flowers outside the conservatory. It was a busy week, but it was lots of fun to hang out with Mommy.

Cooking with Daddy

One thing I like to do is help Mommy and Daddy cook. I will go get a chair and drag it over to the counter and demand to be picked up to help. Mommy lets me measure and pour and mix and today, Daddy let me butter some dishes and arrange some potatoes for our scallop potatoes. It was fun!

Ribs

Daddy has been wanting ribs for a while so tonight he made some. I thought they were really yummy. I made quite a mess though. Mommy thought there were so many funny parts, she left the whole video.

I still enjoy my baths very much. I like it best when Daddy helps me. Mommy's favorite part of this video is when I try to snap my fingers like Daddy does to get Zin to come into the bathroom.

Baby Pj's On

I tried to put on my own pj's in the hotel in Carmel this weekend. I had a little trouble. The title of the post is what I say when I watch the video Mommy took. I also say, "Grammy uppie?

St. Patty's Day Present

I got a package from Grandpa today! It was a present for St. Patrick's Day. There is a picture with Grandpa in it on a shelf near where I was opening it. That is why I look that direction when talking about him. Thanks Grandpa!

22 months

I am 22 months old now. It was a busy month for our family. We had lots of gatherings with friends. It rained LOTS. I hated being stuck inside so much. We spent lots of time at Target to I could run around! We traveled to the central valley to see some family when my great grandma died.
As I have mentioned before, I like to do things by myself. When I don't I want a certain person to do them for me. If I don't get my way, I tend to throw tantrums. Mom and Dad just watch me. Crying is supposed to get me what I want!
I have done many cute things that Mommy wished she had the camera for. Here are 3 of them:

1.) I have a stuffed piglet that rides in the car with me wherever I go. On the way home from school the other day, I saw a big truck. I wanted Piglet to see so I held him up and said," Big truck, see?"

2.) I asked Mommy if I could have some ice for an owie. She opened the freezer and I told her I would get it. She turned around to finish prepping dinner. Suddenly she heard me making noises and turned back. I had taken the ice cream out of the freezer, removed the top and then gone to the untensil drawer and gotten out the ice cream scoop. I was all ready to serve myself!

3.) I love the phone. I picked up the home phone off the floor and pressed some buttons. I then held the phone up to my ear and said, "Hello, Joey." My first phone call to a boy! Poor Daddy.

New Cousin

Singing

I love singing. I know lots of fun songs, but my favorites are Twinkle, Twinkle (still), the ABC song and Patty Cake. I also like to sing the clean up song.

Tantrum

I have taken to throwing tantrums periodically. Mommy got pictures of one when we were getting ready to go to our monthly potluck at my friend Joey's.

Lily in the Box

All around the cobbler's bench the monkey chased the weasel. The monkey thought it was all in fun, Pop goes the Lily!

Puttin' on Boots

I am going stir crazy in the house, so I thought I might see if Mommy and Daddy would let me go outside in the rain if I really protected myself from it. Turns out, no, they won't.

First time skiing

I also got to go skiing for the first time on our trip. I wasn't real excited about it. My favorite part was riding the people mover to the "top" of the hill. A teacher tried to help me and get me to bend my knees and put my hands on them, but I was a little scared of her and I just didn't like those skii boots.

21 months

I am 21 months old now. Art is one of my favorite things. Whenever I go to school or in my room and I see the art table I say ," paint, paint." I like to use crayons and paints, playdough and stamps. I am in an eating stickers phase right now so I don't get to use them much.
Ialso love to walk the dog. Mommy and Daddy have to help some, but I can walk her a long way. I know the names of all my friends at school and in my playgroup. I even know where some of them live when I pass by.
I can completely dress and undress myself whenever I want now. I even take my diaper off and try to change it myself. Nothing is safe around me! I can reach and grab just about anything, including knives off counters.
I talk constantly and can even say short sentences like Mommy sit down, play. I repeat most things I hear as well. Including things like butt and crap :) I eat with a fork and spoon and drink out of a cup. I like to climb on things and jump off of them. I dance and read and sing and try to do everything myself! Mommy says it is hard to believe how much I change each day.

Sledding and Tubing

When we got to the snow, we went to our house and out back there was a little sled track that someone had made. We tried it out right away. We used it off and on all weekend. On Saturday we went to a snow park. I got to try out lots of things. I went on a tube carousel with my friend Connor. Then we went tubing on a fun hill. Daddy even did it with me! Be warned, this is a 6 minute video! That's with Mommy editing. She said there was just too much cute stuff to choose from.

Snow Weekend

Mommy and Daddy took me to the snow this weekend for the first time. We went to Truckee with my friends Connor and Tavi and their mommies and daddies. It was a blast. We played, we sledded, we tubed, I skiied. It was lots of fun. Mommy and Daddy took almost 40 videos so it will be a while before she gets through them all and gets some posted, but here are some of the pictures she took.

Art at Connor's

My friend Connor hosted an art get together on Monday. As soon as Mommy told me that we were going there I walked around the house saying, "Caca's house, Caca's house?" My friends and I had lots of fun painting with brushes, our fingers, our feet and sponges. We snacked on on muffins and fruit and m&m's with Connor's face on them. I enjoyed dancing and playing around on the patio as well as the art. What a great day! Thanks Meghan and Connor.

Rainforest

Mommy and Daddy took me back to the Academy of Science this weekend. It was just as crowded, but we got there early so we went into the rainforest exhibit. I enjoyed looking at the butterflies (fuflies) and birds (tweet tweets). I had to wait until we got up high enough to be close to them before I saw them. I also liked looking at the frogs and snakes they had in containers. Afterwards we walked out through a tunnel of fish. It was fun. I sat down for a rest because it was hot in that forest!

Swim Class

Mommy and Daddy signed me up for swim lessons. I am taking them with my friend Connor. This week we got to sing some fun songs and practice bubbles, kicking and swimming. I also got to jump in (still one of my favorite parts) and I got to try something new. We got to play with a swimming noodle. It was fun to hang on to it and float.

My Jobs

There are certain things that I think of as my jobs. I have to put the empty water bottles in the recycling. I am in charge of feeding the dog now, especially the cookie part. If the dishwasher is moving, I am supposed to go for a ride. I will come running through the house if I hear someone doing one of these things without me. Tonight, Mommy gave me a can of beans to take into the kitchen. I took them in, opened the utensil drawer, found the can opener and tried my hardest to get that can open. The only thing that distracted me was my newest job. Uncle Louis gave Mommy a salad spinner for Christmas. I looooove to spin the salad! Thanks Uncle Louis!

Hairdo

I was playing in my after bath box this week. I pulled out the thermometer and tried to take my own temperature under my arm. I then got out my comb and detangler spray to fix my own hair. Make sure to listen for my spraying sounds.

Jack in the Box

I love my new jack in the box. I like to dance to the music and say POP! when he comes out. So, Mommy decided she should get it on tape. As with everything she tries to tape, I was a little resistant to perform when the camera was out. Daddy thought it was hilarious.

Academy of Sciences

This week my Mommy and Daddy's friends from Sacramento came to visit. We all got in the car and drove to Golden Gate Park to visit the new Academy of Sciences museum. It was very crowded. I LOVED the aquarium part. I am very fond of fishies and I had lots of fun looking at them. This aquarium lets me get right up close to the fish. I also got to touch some things in the tide pool area. I can't wait to go back!
