Graduation Day

Friday was my graduation from Claremont Day Nursery School. I  have been going in each day for the past two weeks to practice with my classmates. Then on Friday I got all dressed up and went to school for the real event. The pictures are first and then the videos that Mommy and Daddy took.
Here I am after we marched in in my little cap and gown.

After the ceremony, Emma's mommy gave Emma and I flower crowns to wear. She made them herself!
Here is the outfit I chose for graduation.

Grammy was here to watch me graduate.

I got a picture with Teacher Simone too!
Emma and I played on the swings for a while afterwards before going to a yummy mexican dinner with ice cream for dessert!

Here we are walking in for the ceremony in our caps and gowns. I am towards the end of the line.

After a little song, my teacher handed out our diplomas. For each person she told what we wanted to be when we grew up.

All the graduates did a little dance for the parents.

After a slideshow of pictures of us from this year, we sang one last song for the parents. I was pretty tired at this point, so I started out with a yawn!

Swim Lessons Week 2

This week was not as warm as last week and two days that I was in the water, it was really cold outside. The pool was steaming! The best part of my week was when my teacher took us down to the deep end and let us jump in off the starting blocks. On the last day he had my try to catch a ball when I jumped in. Mommy thinks it would help if I could catch a ball when I am just standing on the ground! Next week I move up to the next level class. I am excited to try some new stuff.

Here I am working on learning to dive in the water with my teacher. He helps me get in the right position.

Then I tried it on my own from a seated position.

Here is a video from my last day when I jumped off the block and swam to the wall.

Finally this is my last attempt to catch the ball as I jumped. The first time I jumped over the ball, and the second time it bounced off my legs.

Swim lessons

I started swim lessons this week. I get to go 4 days a week for the next two weeks.
Here I am on the first day waiting for my turn to get started.

Hanging out on the wall. There are only 2 people in my class so I get lots of turns and practice.
Here my coach is reminding me that I need to be looking down at the bottom and not in front of me!

I dropped the video camera before class on Wednesday, so Mommy couldn't tape anything for the last two days, but she thinks she fixed it now so she can get more video next week.

Here I am practicing my breathing on Thursday
We got to go down to the deep end and jump in from the side.
Then my teacher let me get up on the starting block to try jumping in.

I did it twice and told Mommy it was my favorite part! I can't wait to go back next week!

Gymnastics

The final party was later that same day at my gymnastics gym for Sophia.
We got to start the party way in the back of the gym and have that area all to ourselves. Sophia and I played on the balance beams.

Daddy tried to help me with my blast offs into a handstand position.
Sophia and I got to put the candles and fruit on her cake.
Here I am playing with Daddy some more.
I decided to pose for a photo on the balance beam.
Mommy wanted me to try a bridge on the balance beam. I started to try, but chickened out.
Then we got started. We began with a warm up. Daddy warmed up with me. I am in the pike position on my back.
Here we are lifting one leg straight up into the air.
This is me practicing how a cartwheel starts.
After warm up we went over and did some obstacle course stuff. This is me after a forward roll.
I was jumping over the beam here.
Mommy got to get a picture of me doing a handstand on the rings.

 Hanging out on the bars.
Here I am above the pit getting ready to flip on the bars.
Here is the end of the flip as I fell into the pit.
Here that flip is in action.

We got to swing on the trapeze again.

Here is Daddy's turn on the trapeze.
He got kind of buried in the pit.
Here I am in the pit with my friends. You can see Daddy's hand in the corner, he still hasn't managed to get out of the pit!
Here are Daddy and I bouncing down the tumble track.

It was a great party to end the birthday season!

Pajama Party

We are winding down the birthday season and this weekend I started my Saturday with Melia's pajama party.
Here I am all ready to go in my pajamas and pigtails.
We sat on the grass to have our "brunch" and watch the tatoo and balloon lady get set up.
Emma and I are trying to wait patiently.
I had the lady put a butterfly tattoo on my arm.

Cowgirl Time

After a brief trip home after Melina's party, we headed over to Walnut Creek to help Joey celebrate his fifth birthday.
Here I am in my riding gear. I wore jeans and my fancy suede boots. Daddy and I fought over that part as I didn't want to mess up my boots, but if I don't wear them soon, they will be too small for me!
Here I am with Joey and Nolan as we watched the people saddle up the horses and ponies for our ride.
When the horses were all ready we had to go over and get helmets.
Because I was the tallest, I got to get on my horse first. Her name was Diva. They had a little set of steps for me to use to get high enough to get on. They showed me how to grab the saddle horn to help boost myself on.
Then they had me put my foot up in the stirrup and swing my other leg over the saddle. Mommy likes my panties showing in this picture! Low rise jeans.
We each had our own person to lead us around the ring while we rode. Mine had lots to say. She taught me how to hold the reins correctly and how to use my feet and make clicking noises to get Diva to go.
Once everyone was on their horses we played a few games like Simon Says and had some "races." We got to ride for almost an hour. It was a lot of fun! I loved riding the horse.
Afterwards we headed over to a nearby park for some playtime, snacks and birthday cupcakes.

Hello Kitty

The following day we went to my friend Melina's Hello Kitty birthday party in the park by her house.
This park has a fun dizzy toy that you can swing in circles on.
My friends and I played in the train at the playground.
There was a Hello Kitty pinata too.

Daddy and I watched together for the pinata to break open.
I got my face painted by Melina's neighbor.
She put on a beautiful rainbow and cloud.
Mommy snapped a picture of me, Emma and Melina just before we left the party.
