We met up with Juliet at the park to play on the swings.

 Fiona hung out in the stroller and watched us.

 Later Daddy read us both an Elephant And Piggie story.

Sleepover

Melina came over for a sleepover recently. Her little sister Nalani came for the first part too so that Lynn and Joey could go out to dinner without any kids. We got to make our own pizzas. We all got to wear aprons and have our own little bit of dough to roll and shape and then top.

 Fiona didn't get to eat any pizza, but she did get to hang with Daddy.

 The next morning we had breakfast at Masse's and then met up with the Beelers and Melina's family at the Solano Stroll. We watched the parade and then walked back to our house to play a little before Melina went home.

A Toast to Fiona

At the beginning of September we had a little get together with some friends. Mommy bought a big bottle of bubbles at an auction that she went to for Connor, Kate and Lily Red's school. Mommy and Daddy decided to invite some friends over for bubbles and ice cream sandwiches to celebrate Fiona. She got to wear a pretty little party dress!

Uncle Louis was here for the party. Little did he know when he came that he would be in the house with about 12 of my friends and their families. It was fun and a little crazy!

Uncle Louis & Ariel

Uncle Louis came to visit with Ariel. They came to meet Fiona and spend some time with me. I love hanging with Uncle Louis. He does a great job with story reading!

 Both Uncle Louis and Ariel got some time to hold Fiona.

We went to the city to have lunch and spent some time at Dolores Park. We also went swimming at their hotel. It was a nice visit!

Lost Tooth

To top off the first day of school, I lost my first tooth that  night before bed!

Here is the tooth exactly one week before it fell out. I had been wiggling it alot.

 Then the night of the first day, I was brushing my teeth and I spit in the sink and there it was! The blood scared me a little. I kept the tooth that night so I could look at it in the morning.

The next night I put the tooth in my Princess tooth fairy pillow that Grammy made, but then I switched to the polka dot one. When I woke up in the morning, I had a note from the fairy and a sparkly dollar bill. I looked at it without Mommy and Daddy. When Mommy came in to see me since she saw my light was on, she asked about it. I was sad because I didn't have my tooth anymore. Then Mommy read the note and it said that the fairy had left the tooth since it was my first. We had to look for it since I must have dumped it out when I took out the note and dollar, but we found it. I was really excited! I wonder when the next one will fall out!

First Day of Kindergarten

Wednesday, August 29th was my first day of kindergarten. I am going to Rosa Parks this year and I am in the two way immersion class. My teacher will speak almost exclusively spanish to us.

Mommy took a picture of me in my first day dress with a sign telling what I want to be when I grow up.

 Here I am with my new teacher. She is the daughter-in-law of someone that Mommy taught with when she first started teaching!

 Every morning our mommies and daddies can come in and read with us first thing. Here is Daddy reading my nametag with me.

Then Daddy came over and then Mommy. Daddy needs some help with pronouncing the words. 

I had a great first day and couldn't wait to go back the next day. I even asked to ride the bus to school!

The Day Before Kindergarten

On the morning before the first day of school, Mommy and Fiona and I hung out at home for a while and then we went to Sausalito to meet up with Kate, who is going to be in my kindergarten class this year. After meeting up with Clifford and spending some time outside, we went to the art studio. I painted for a while and worked with some playdough like stuff.

 Then we went into the creation room and worked with all sorts of art supplies to make whatever we wanted.

 I love to create things. I had string and toilet paper tubes and glue and tape and wrapping paper.

Later on that evening we went to a welcome dinner at my school and I got my new backpack and a big bag of school type supplies. We ate burritos and met my new teacher, Maestra Rocio.

2 months

I am two months old now. I went to the doctor and I have gained 2 whole pounds this month. I am now 10 pounds, 10 ounces. I also got taller and am longer than Sissy was at this point. I smile all the time and I watch where my family goes. I can also lift my head a little bit when I am on my tummy.
