Ears

After Emma and Maya showed up with pierced ears, Lily decided to be brave and get hers pierced too. We went to a tattoo and piercing place in Berkeley called Zebra. She picked the earrings she wanted and then we took some pictures while we waited.

 When it was our turn we went into the back and got seated for the lady who pierced to mark up Lily's ears.

 Then she told Lily to do some deep breathing, she put a cork behind her ear and she stabbed it with the needle before putting in the earring. Lily did a great job and barely even flinched!

 I took a video of the first ear.

Pigtails and Ponies

Fiona had crazy hair day at school so she got three pigtails in her hair. She wasn't happy about me leaving though and didn't want me to take a picture.

Lily's friend Aili got a pony during the break. His name is Shadow. We took a trip out to their ranch to try him out.

 Aili's dad helped Lily get up on the pony and then taught her a little bit about how to ride him and make him do what she wanted him to do.

 All the girls took turns leading each other around on Shadow.

 And both big girls took a turn leading Aili's sister.

New Years

NYE began with a breakfast of dim sum and coffee at Blue Bottle in Oakland. This is our last day of eating unhealthy foods or eating out so we had some yummy stuff.

Later Fiona drove up to the Arlington with Daddy to get some supplies for later that evening.

To keep her from falling asleep, Daddy got her a cheeto snack.

The nap still happened, just on Mamma!

We ended the evening at our friends' house with champagne and sparkling cider.

New Year's day involved some serious coloring time.

 And some silly sister time.

 And of course, a bucket on your head time.
