28 Weeks

Today marks the beginning of the third trimester. We have 11 weeks left if everything continues to go well. As long as there are no complications and blood sugars remain in relative control, the dr. will induce on Wednesday, June 27th.

Easter

On Saturday I finished dying my eggs. I got to make lots of different colors and then later I got to decorate them with glitter and stickers!

On Easter I woke up yelling for Daddy. I had a secret to get ready for Mommy since it was her birthday. After we took care of the birthday presents in the bedroom, I went out to see that the Easter bunny had left a trail of jellybeans to my easter basket and to the door.
I got a new basket for my bicycle since my old one broke. I got a dress and a sparkly top. I got some new bubbles and some new glow bracelets too!
The easter bunny left lots of candy!
I also got some new hair stuff that I tried out right away!
Then we got dressed an headed outside to follow the jellybeans to where that bunny hid my easter eggs!

Here's me headed out for the first time.

This is me finding the last egg.

This is Mommy's favorite because it shows how many eggs I just walked right past, but its pretty long.

Weekend Pics

On Friday we had some friends over for a little pre birthday celebration for Mommy. We had drinks and Mommy made three yummy desserts: an apple cake with brown sugar glaze, a brownie pizza covered with cream cheese and berries and a chocolate cookie "lava" cupcake. Super yum.

Then on Saturday I finally got to have my first soccer practice. I like the time before class starts when I get to play around with Daddy!

I tried sitting on the ball to keep him from getting it from me.
He just kicked it right out from under me!

We have a new head coach this time and he is pretty intense. He had us trying to drop the ball and then kick it back up to catch it.
Then we got into our teams to play a little game. My team was the Blue Dragons. I scored a goal all by myself!

Here is the "nest" I made for myself in the rolling toy Grandpa got me. I put all the couch pillows at the bottom, piled the blankets on top and then added my pillow from my bed. I put in a bunch of books and then climbed in to read!

The Wall

Daddy took spring break off so that we could take a little vacation. Unfortunately, two things conspired to keep us at home. First is that fact that Mommy is pregnant and traveling was not on the top of her list. Second was the fact that the retaining wall in the side yard fell down when it was raining in March. We used our vacation money to buy the materials for a new wall :(

Here is a picture of the broken wall.

This is what it looked like after Daddy (with some help from Bjorn) removed the old wall and dug out the trench for the new one.
I "helped" with the delivery of the materials. This is the load of base rock they dumped in front.
Mommy liked that I was holding on to Daddy the whole time.

Here is Daddy with all the rock, gravel and blocks that we had delivered. He carried all of that up the hill!
Here is the trench with the base layer of blocks laid. It took a long time since Daddy wanted to make sure the wall was level, unlike the one that broke!

Then on Saturday, Bjorn came over again and he and Daddy got the rest of the wall built pretty quickly. All that's left to do now is finish filling in the dirt behind the wall and put on the last layers of rock.
Daddy and Bjorn take some much needed rest on the new wall.

Good job Daddy! We can't wait to be able to use the yard again once the wall is all the way completed!

Gymnastics

Here are some recent photos from gymnastics.

Here I am after climbing my legs up the wall. I have to hold this position until Coach Rick says to come down. My legs are really straight!
Here Coach Rick is helping me flip over backwards on the bar.
Then I have to push myself up into a straight position with my arms really straight and strong.
Here I am holding that position.
Then Coach Rick helps me get my legs straight up in the air with my toes pointed. I have to try to be really straight here with my arms and legs.
Here I am swinging down the bar. On my left is my friend Lily red and on my right is my friend Sofia.

In the very back you can see me doing a backwards summersault all by myself!

Fun with Friends

Last weekend we went to my friend Emma's for her sister Maya's second birthday. We started out in the kitchen decorating some toys.
Then we got to play pin the banana on the monkey. Bjorn twisted us around and around and then we had to try to get the banana as close to the monkey's mouth as possible.
Of course we had cake after that. We sang to Maya and then Anna brought out a monkey cake, some cupcakes and some banana pops.
I chose a banana pop. It was a piece of banana dipped in chocolate and sprinkles and then frozen.
The sprinkles turned my mouth a little bit blue!
And my hands ended up rainbow colored.

This weekend we went over to my friend Melina's house to decorate easter eggs.
Our friend Sofia came over too so her Mommy and Daddy could have a rest with the new baby.

Melina's sister Nalani and her older brother Kai got in on the action too.

These were special eggs that came with glitter that we could put on them. I got to shake an egg around in a bag of glitter to make it sparkly.
Then we decided to have some dress up time. Sofia dressed up like a fairy, Melina like a witch, Kai like a princess and I dressed up like a shirtless ballerina with reindeer antlers. Mommy likes how you can see my fishy panties through the skirt.
Its always fun to play with friends!
