Fiona Flips!

I finally figured out how to get from my tummy to my back and I even did it enough times to let Mommy catch it on tape!

Field Trip

Last Wednesday my class went on their first trip. Daddy was nice enough to take Fiona to work with him so Mommy could come with us. We had breakfast and then we all put on our matching Rosa Parks t-shirts.

We walked out the gate and down the street with our partners. A few blocks later we arrived at our destination: The fire station.
Our class arrived first so we sat and waited for the other class to arrive and talked to the firemen about the difference between a fire truck and an engine.
After some inside talking and a demo of what the fire fighter looks like when he's all suited up, we went outside to check out the truck. I am a little nervous around firemen so I stayed at the back.

After that we all got to walk through the truck to see the inside. The firefighter then gave us our own fire hats.
We went back to our spots and then took a quick tour of the firehouse. We got to see the kitchen!

Then the firemen backed the truck up and we all got in front to take a group picture.
This is Mommy's only shot that does not have an adult in it trying to take their own picture!

More Pictures

Melina, Emma and Lily watching the class before theirs at ballet. They've been told in January they get to move from jr. ballet to ballet level 1.
Daddy got to come and watch so he read a story before class started.
A napping Fiona who looks like she is holding on for a ride.
Fiona is all ready to head out on a walk on a cold fall morning.
Totally passed out on Daddy's lap.
Nap time for Daddy, but not the smiley girls!
A group of friends went to Brushstrokes to paint some pottery one day when we were off from school.
A sweet smiley picture of Fiona.

Beach Trip

The first weekend in November was so beautiful that we took a trip to the beach. We drove to Bolinas which was about 20 minutes too far for Fiona. We walked over to the beach area and set up. Lily put on her wetsuit and she and Daddy went out for some boogie boarding.

Fiona and Mommy sat on the beach under an umbrella.
Lily was trying to use Daddy's board so he would carry her out into the water with the bigger board.

 Snack time!

While Daddy was out trying to surf, Lily played in the surf.

Fiona even got to put her feet in the sand and the water that day.

Halloween

Mommy got a brief Halloween treat of Fiona napping in her crib instead of on her!

At lunch time, Fiona and Mommy went to Rosa Parks to set up for the Halloween Project Party that Mommy organized for Lily's classroom. Fiona got to hang in the stroller during the set up time.
Then Fiona and Mommy ran the balloon ghost group. This group got to use baking soda and vinegar to blow up their balloons and then they decorated them with sharpies to look like ghosts.
Here is Lily with her class getting ready for the Halloween parade.
 The kindergarteners started the parade.
Then they got to sit and watch the big kids go by in their costumes. Daddy watched with the kids.

After school was out we went home for a while and then we headed to gymnastics. Because my class was at 4:00 that day, Mommy thought less people would be there. We also had Daddy with us so I wanted him to watch. Little did we know that no one else in my class would show up so I had a private lesson with Coach Rick. We worked on some new stuff, including this fun bar work.

He also worked with me on the things that I needed to have help with, like the back flip we have been working on.

Then we went home and got into our costumes. Fiona was a little lady bug.

She liked to put her tutu in her mouth.
Super Girl Lily and Fiona posed together on the couch.

Here is our Super Girl with her fancy pink boots.

We tried again for a group photo, even though not everyone was there that night. This was the best shot.
