The Nutcracker

Last weekend we got all dressed up on Friday to go to San Francisco. Fiona wore a dress that was for Lily's first Christmas.

Lily chose this dress at Target.

 Daddy wore a suit!

The four of us rode the train into the city for an early dinner at Absinthe.
Then Daddy and I went to see the Nutcracker at the San Francisco Ballet. I cried when the Nutcracker died in the first part. Here I am at intermission with jucie, a cookie and puffy red eyes from crying.

I enjoyed the show, though Daddy thought I didn't understand all of it. I got and SF ballet t-shirt and a ballet necklace at the store. Then Daddy and I rode the train back home to Mommy and Fiona. Thanks Daddy!

Grandpa Visits

Grandpa surprised us with a visit last weekend. As soon as he arrived, I took him into my room for some art time. He helped me cut up paper for a project. He did not help me clean up though!

Mommy got us to pose for some pictures with him.

We all sat together in the rocking chair. It was great to see Grandpa and I can't wait for Christmas so I can see him again. Mommy's favorite part of his visit was listening to his snoring on the baby monitor :)

Secret Hideaway

One morning before school I decided to make a secret hideaway for Fiona and myself. I used all the footstools, pillows and blankets. We had fun hiding in there.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving morning began with a walk with the dog and some breakfast. We then bundled up and headed up to the Little Farm to meet up with my friend Connor and his family. We visited with and fed the animals. We noticed that the turkey was missing...

I got hungry and Connor shared one of his apples with me. I continued my tradition of loosing teeth on special days by biting into my apple and losing my second tooth. Mommy, Daddy and I had been trying to guess when the tooth would fall out. Mommy and I said before Thanksgiving and Daddy said after. No one guessed the day of! Then we walked around the pond looking for fairies!

Later we went over to my friend Melina's to have Thanksgiving dinner.

Fiona wore the same dress that I wore for my first Thanksgiving.

We took a family photo for Grammy's Christmas card.
We went down to the park on bikes and skateboards while dinner was being cooked.

Here I am at the table with Melina and her brother Kai and sister Nalani.
Later all the kids hung out on the couch watching a movie.
It was a great Thanksgiving and I enjoyed being able to share it with my friends.

Academy of Science

Fiona and I took a trip to the Academy of Sciences last month. This is Fiona's second visit, but the first one was when she was too small to notice anything.
Here I am in front of a huge inflatable snowman.

We went into the tube of water where the fish swim over you. I got to pose in front of the tank.
Fiona got to take a close up look at the fishies too.

We went over to the touch tank after that. The water was cold!
Fiona got to touch a little abalone shell.
Here she is with a jelly fish.
Then we went to the tropical tank and watched the fish for a while.

It was a fun trip and it was exciting to see Fiona notice the fish this time.
