New Skills

Here's Lily doing a skill on the bars that she has been working on for weeks.

Fiona has learned to blow bubbles in the tub all on her own.

Lily did the pledge in spanish at the morning assembly last Friday.

Another one Bites the Dust

The jack o lantern look is complete!

Some photos

Fiona loves her hat right now and likes to put it on herself and wear it around the house.
The Great Pumpkin paid us a visit and left both girls a Target gift card in exchange for their candy.
Grammy sent Halloween cards with $1 in them!

Halloween

On Halloween we began the festivities at the Rosa Parks Halloween parade. Lily was in her princess vampire costume with no makeup on.
Here she is with her whole class.
They paraded around the whole school so that all the kids could see each other.

Afterwards we went home to do some early trick or treating in our neighborhood. Fiona got into her duck costume and Daddy put on his Duck Dynasty costume.
I think the beer really completes the look.

We hooked up with some neighbors up the street and tried several houses. Not many people were home at the early hour, but Fi enjoyed walking up the steps and knocking on doors.

 Lily in full makeup.

After that we headed over to the Beelers for our annual Halloween potluck and trick or treating.

Fiona's Imagination Parade

Fiona had spirit week on Halloween week. One day was crazy hair day so Daddy and Lily dyed her hair with some red spray we had for Lily's costume.

The day before Halloween she had an imagination parade at her school. Each classroom had a theme and the kids and teachers made the costumes. Lily and I went to watch the parade.
Fiona's class was crayons. Each child was a different color. Fi was pink and sat right in front of the buggy.
Her teacher was the crayon  box.
Fiona and the green crayon were the only two remaining in the buggy by the time it got around the block.

Here is Fi out of the buggy. Her crayon shirt is so long its like a huge dress!

Afterwards we went to the playground where Lily and Fiona played together.

Then her teacher got out the bubbles. Fiona had lots of fun with them.

She tried hard to blow the bubbles herself and several times got a mouth full of soap which she did not like.

Halloween at the Colusa Circle

The weekend before Halloween the businesses in the circle near our house had a Halloween scavenger hunt. We dressed the girls up and walked over. Fiona wore the giraffe costume that Lily wore for her second Halloween. It was a little big.

Lily put on a combo outfit. She wore the top from her Grease costume with a pretty black skirt from Target and a belly dancing scarf we bought in Mendocino. We also put some red paint in her hair.

We had to go to 7 businesses around the circle and look for a little witch in each one. Some made us do other things. The fitness place had an obstacle course.

Here we are at the market getting our stamp.

The vet's office had a haunted house.

Our last stop was the pizza place.

Here Lily is getting a high five for getting all the stamps.
And here she is enjoying her reward, some soft serve ice cream from the pizza place.
