School

I went back to school last week. I am moving up into my last class at CDN. I am now a dolphin in teacher Simone's class. On my first day back, Mommy asked me how it was being a dolphin and I told her it was hard! Once all the old dolphins leave for kindergarten this week, I think it will get better and teacher Simone is going to teach all sorts of new things! Here I am on the first day of school in my new Back to School dress.

Vacation at Home

After a week in Santa Barbara, we drove home to finish our vacation at home. On Tuesday we just cleaned up and I had my gymnastics class. On Wednesday we drove to the Fort Ross area and Daddy went diving for Abalone. We took Shadow with us for his first trip to the beach. Mommy and I put on our wetsuits and went out in the water. Shadow would come in up to his elbows and then whine at us.
Daddy got two abalone and shot a rock fish in the face. He was super proud.

 Afterwards, we drove to Santa Rosa so Daddy could visit one of his favorite breweries. Then we had the longest ride home ever since they had closed the freeway approach to the bridge due to police activity so we had to take highway 37. It took us 2 hours instead of 45 minutes.

We ended up having fish tacos for lunch later in the week. They were yummy.

On Thursday we met up with Emma and her family at Muir beach. We froze since the sun never came out. Emma and I wore matching tutu bathing suits.

 Afterwards we built played with sand toys.

 After a nap, we walked up to Jupiter to have dinner with Melina and her family. We went accross the street to John's ice cream afterwards to fulfill my reward for boogie boarding.

 On Friday, Mommy had to go to work so Daddy and I spent the day together. I rode my bike up to Masse's for breakfast and then we went up to the Lawrence Hall of Science so Daddy could see the dino exhibit. Afterwards we had lunch at Triple Rock.

 When Mommy got home we went over to Emma's for an end of vacation BBQ.

Vacation

After our fishing trip and some dinner with Uncle Louis in Hermosa Beach, we headed north to spend a week in Santa Barbara. It was very relaxing and we did almost nothing the whole time :)

Every morning I rode my bike into town with Mommy and Daddy for breakfast drinks and pastries.

The best thing about this condo was the jacuzzi. After getting chilly in the ocean, we could walk up to the pool and warm up!

 Grammy visited us one day and even babysat me so that Mommy and Daddy could have a date night on vacation!

Fishing

After we left the family on Sunday, we met up with Mommy and Daddy's friend Sara and her fiance and their two boys Jack and Andy. We had lunch and then headed North. We stopped at a brewery along the way. They let me draw on the floor with chalk!

 Daddy and I both got new shirts there. Mine says Santa's Little Helper on it :)

 Sunday night we stayed in San Clemente. When we got up on Monday we took a walk on the pier. I posed with a pelican.

 Mommy, Daddy and I continued our vacation by going fishing with one of Daddy's friends in Dana Point.

 I enjoyed watching the pelicans over the side of the boat as we got close to the fishing area.

 Mommy and Daddy and I caught one of the first two fish on the boat. I was not excited about it at first.

The blood freaked me out and when Daddy tried to have me hold the bait while he got the pole ready for the next try, I refused.

However, after a few more successes, I felt more confident and was excited to catch and pose with the fish.

It was a good first fishing trip. We were out for 5 hours and at the end of it, I was so exhausted that I fell asleep in Mommy's arms on the ride back in to the harbor.
