Bad Blogger :( Here are some videos to make up for it!

Both girls had performances in December at school and/or ballet.

Fiona started with her dance class performance at school to The Happiest Christmas Tree. She is super cute!

She also sang with her preschool class. We love her eyes in this one:)

The following day her ballet class had a little recital in class.

The following weekend was Lily's performance in the Nutcracker. She had two parts, one a girl at the party so she was on stage for a looooong time, but not dancing until it was her part.

Then she was also an angel with the Sugar Plum Fairy later on in the recital. She did a great job!

I'll try to be better about posting....

Other May events

My Fiona
Lily and I went to see her friend Tyler perform in the Jungle Book play.
 Gymnastics time.

 Back handspring!!

Fiona fell asleep at the lunch table at school. In our defense, she had just come back to school after being sick.
Lily with some bubblegum ice cream to make her uncles jealous.
Lily's friend Aili's mom purchased a jump rope playdate with next year's third grade teachers and she was allowed to bring a friend so Lily got to come along. They jumped rope with a bunch of other kids and next year's teacher Ms. Marella.
 Tyler was there too :)
Selfie with Fi while we watched.

Lily did Fiona's hair in pigtails.
The last costume for the ballet recital.
I got a picture of her class in costume after they all tried them on.
Fi gave Elmo a piggy back ride while we waited for ballet practice to be over.
I got to go hang out in Lily's science class again. Here they all are looking at and feeding their meal worms.

Then they got to go outside and cut up diapers and add water to make "snow"

 Cute Fiona.
 Cute Lily.
Fiona out on a date with Mommy and Daddy while Lily was at a sleepover.
 She's so adorable!

Lily is 8!

Lily turned 8 this May. Her birthday celebration began with cupcakes at school with her classmates. She asked for chocolate cupcakes with caramel in the middle and chocolate frosting. Fiona got to come to her celebration too.

The rest of that day I spent making her birthday cake for the party on her birthday. She had a spa birthday party so I made a nail polish cake. Here it is with its crumb coat.
Halfway there.
All done, though a little off center :)
That night we went out to dinner to celebrate since we were having a sleep over on the big day.

The next morning we woke up and opened presents first thing!
 New earrings.
 A beautiful dress.
 Some shoes just like Daddy.
And the yearly t-shirt from Grandpa!
Friends began to arrive just before lunch.

Then we all sat down in the kitchen for our spa meal of veggie wraps, yogurt parfaits and fruit salad with strawberry agua fresca or iced tea.
The 17 year old across the street brought some friends over and they all helped out by doing the makeup and nails for all the girls. It gave Fiona some time with her (she babysits for us) with us in the house which helped our next night out begin without tears!

The nail station in the living room.

 make up in the bedroom.
Tattoos (glitter and airbrush) on the garage.
Lily in all her final glory!
Fi blinged it up for her photos.

Time to get the cake ready.

Happy birthday to Lily!

Then we all had birthday cake.

Later that night Emma and Melina and their sisters came back to have a sleep over. James and I hid in the kitchen. Fi joined up for part of the time.
 Movie time!
Hard to believe its been 8 years already. Happy birthday Lily!
