Random Photos

Here is Fiona during a session of what we like to call Pop the Baby. She likes to eat and eat and eat for the 3 or 4 hours before bed. Her tummy gets huge. Then when she goes to bed she sleeps for 5-6 hours.

Here are Lily and Fiona in the summery outfits that Marcia bought for them right after Fiona was born.
Mommy caught both of us "smiling" on the couch together.
 Fiona chilling on Daddy's legs.
Lily sleeping. She fell asleep while getting close to her clock radio to hear the music.
 Bath time for Fiona...
 and for Lily!

Ballet

I started a new balled class this month. I got some new clothes to wear and joined my friends Melina and Sofia for some dancing. I like to wear my leg warmers like tights!

 Posing on the bar.

This class is much more serious than my class at the Y and I am learning a lot. Mommy thinks that I would just be happy to get dressed in my ballet clothes and twirl around, watching myself in the mirror. She might be right, but I am liking the class too.
After each class, Ms. Paula give us glitter or sparkles on our faces. I love that part!

Library Card

Last week I got my very own library card. I filled out the part with my first and last name on the application.

Then I picked a card that I liked and wrote my name on the back of it.
Then I posed with my new card. I used it right away and checked out the book:
Olivia Forma Una Banda

Photo Shoot

Mommy had a photographer take our pictures the weekend before Fiona was born. Here are her favorites.

Fiona

Today Fiona is 2 weeks old. She has had a busy two weeks. Last Monday she had to have a medical procedure on her mouth so that she wouldn't be " tongue tied" and she would be able to stick her tongue out of her mouth and also not have the possibility of speech problems later on. It took her a little time after that to learn how to eat again, but we are back on track now and eating and sleeping like a pro.
Fiona eats almost non stop between 6 and 10 and then she sleeps for about 6 hours which has been good for Mommy and Daddy. Daddy and I gave her a bottle for the first time last night too.

 Fresh clean sleepy girl.

 Fiona's first beer!
Both of us fell asleep on our way to see Daddy for lunch.

Fiona's Birth

After some sleep, I went to the hospital to check on Mommy. She had had a rough morning and was glad to see me. I hung out with her and then went and got some breakfast. When I came back, I layed with Mommy for a while before going to my swim lesson.
Just as I was getting in the water, at 11:29, my baby sister was born. She weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces (just like me) and measured 19 3/4 inches, a quarter inch more than I did. She had tons of hair too.
The nurses and doctors left for about an hour and a half and Mommy and Daddy got to hang out with the baby. After a while she had her first meal and then the nurse came back in. She helped Daddy get the baby all cleaned up and ready to meet me.
After lessons, Grammy brought me back to meet my new sister. I got to pick her middle name so her name is Fiona Rebecca Schultz.
Here I am holding her on my own for the first time.
She brought me a big bag of presents including a new necklace with my birthstone in it. I also got a big sister bracelet from the hospital like Mommy and Daddy got.
Later, Dr. Landman from my doctor's office came to check on Fiona. She let me help change the first diaper!
My friend Melina came by the hospital. I showed her all the cool stuff in my big sister bag.
She brought me some ice cream. Yum! Daddy got to have his first beer since Memorial Day too.
Then I had dinner with Mommy, Daddy and Grammy before going home for the night. I really wanted to stay and Daddy really wanted to go home. Fiona cuddled with Daddy before bed.
The next morning we brought cocoa, coffee and pastries to the hospital for breakfast. I got to hold Fiona again.
Here we are together as we were getting ready to go home. I got to pick what Fiona wore home from the hospital.
Here is Fiona on her first day at home from the hospital.
It is exciting to be a big sister and I like some parts of it, but it sure is hard! Here we all are together.

39 Weeks

Here I am with Mommy right before she went to the hospital to have my baby sister. I was really tired because it was about 5:30 in the morning. I went back to bed after they left and then joined them at the hospital later in the morning.
