Beach Day

A couple Friday's ago Mommy took us to the beach to meet up with Joey and his friend Aislynn. This was Fiona's first trip to the beach. The sun wasn't out so it was pretty chilly.
When we first got there, I went on a walk to find Joey who had found a jelly fish on the beach.
I stepped in the wet sand and then had Mommy take a picture of my feet and the footprints I made.
Here I am trying to feel how cold the water was.
Fiona had a diaper change and a snack back at the base camp.
My friends and I found a big bunch of logs in the water that we pretended was a boat.

Then Mommy and I went looking for crabbies. We didn't find any, but we did find some sea anemone.

I also found a crab shell and a full two sided mussel shell as well.
 I made sand angels.

Fiona did a lot of sleeping.

Here we are together on the beach.

Water Park & Crabby!

After the zoo, we went to the splash park in El Cerrito. I was not a huge fan as even though it was a warm day, because the water was not warm, I did not have fun. I was ready to go after about 15 mintues.

Mommy did get me to go in the water for a little while.

Fiona had a snack and hung out on the grass by the water.
Here is my sister wearing her cute crabby outfit from Grammy.
Mommy's favorite feature is the butt on the pants!

Sleepy Fiona

The Zoo

We went to the zoo a couple weeks ago. I asked to go on my own with "none friends" so I could pick what I wanted to see. Here I am posing in front of the zebras.

We spent a lot of time hanging out by the giraffes, especially looking at the baby giraffe.

This was Fiona's first trip to the zoo. She was not a huge fan. It was a hot day and she hasn't spent much time in the stroller so she was hot and crying a lot of the time.
Nap time in the stroller after a snack while I ate lunch.
I love hanging out with my baby sister!

After lunch we went on some rides. I drove a car
and an airplane. I was a little disappointed that my airplane would not go up and down.
After a diaper change for Fiona we went on the train to see the outback animals before heading home.

Back Flip

Coach Rick is teaching us how to do a back flip at gymnastics right now. Here is the first day. The first time he basically lifted me up and flipped me over. Now he just supports me to try to get me to do it correctly.

Bouncy Seat

Here I am enjoying a booty massage in my vibrating bouncy chair before heading to the zoo. I love to just chill in the chair.

Lawrence Hall of Science

We met Joey and Nolan at the Lawrence Hall of Science for some playtime one day. Fiona got wrapped in a blanket and put in the Ergo so Mommy could carry her around.

There were some animals there to touch. I got to touch a ball python like Daddy used to have

 and a hamster too.
Then we went and looked at the skateboarding exhibit. All the skateboards were attached to the ground on one side, but you could try out different moves on them.

We then spent some time outside in the water area and looking at all the bridges before going out front to climb on the whale and then head home to Daddy.

Fiona

This is my chilling out look.
Please someone pick me up. I don't want to be alone on my tummy!
I am starting to really smile at Mommy and Daddy. This is me on the floor in my room.
In this one I am smiling at Mommy while she is putting me in my carseat.
I spend a lot of  my time sleeping.
I like the "under arrest" position just like Lily did/does.
 Smiling in my sleep.

Fishing

On Friday, Daddy took the day off and took me on my first salmon fishing trip. We got up REALLY early and I put on a lot of clothes. Daddy had me wear stretchy pants under jeans with a short and long sleeve t-shirt, then my warmest sweatshirt and 2 pairs of socks, plus my hat an gloves.

I also took my rubber boots and my rain jacket to keep  me dry.
Here we are together keeping warm and dry on the boat.
 Super cute fisher girl!

Daddy and I caught the biggest fish of the day.
I really didn't want to get too close to it though!
 Snack time!
I spent a little of the down time playing with my leapster game in the cabin...
and outside where the action was.
When we got home, Daddy wanted a good picture of me with the fish so you could see how big it was compared to me, but I didn't want anything to do with it.
This was my preferred distance from the fish, but Daddy wanted me behind it.
I finally agreed, but I wasn't happy about it and was convinced I would have to touch it.

The next day, after Daddy had cut the fish into pieces, he saved the tail so we could do a fish tail print. I liked rolling the ink on the plate, but not so much on the fish tail.

 The finished print!
