On Fathers' Day we got up early and headed to SFO to hop our flight for vacation. We chose Florida this year for warm, calm waters. We got in late that day and got settled in our condo and then headed outside to check out the beach.
Lily made a sand angel!
All ready to head down to the beach!
Fiona got to play in the sand on the beach. She had to wear a hat, which was not her favorite thing, but she enjoyed herself!
Lily decided to do some digging to try to make a sand castle, but that didn't last too long. The lure of the water was pretty strong for her!
Our condo had a pool as well and we spent a lot of time hanging out there as well as at the beach on our first day.
As it got towards the end of the day, we took a walk on the beach so we could enjoy the first vacation sunset. Lily spent a lot of the walk playing in the water as we went.
We ran across and amazing sand castle. The sand at the beach in Siesta Key was pretty amazing. It never gets hot, its super white and it is just like powder. It gets on you and sticks!
Lily took a picture of Mommy, Daddy and Fiona (who was sleeping) just as the sun went down.
It was a great first day at the beach!
