Christmas

On Christmas morning we woke up early. After a quick cuddle with Mommy, I went out into the living room to check out what Santa had left me. I got the cleaning cart that I asked for. Daddy had told me I couldn't have it and that he had talked with Santa and told him not to get it for me. I guess I was a better girl than Daddy because he got it for me.
Another item Daddy had said no to was a little princess cell phone that I saw at Target. Santa left that in my stocking!
Finally, he left me the baby doll that I had wanted. He even left us matching pajamas! I was so excited to put them on us both!

I opened a few presents at home, including one from Aunt Karrie, Uncle Louis and cousins Johnny and Riley.

It had tons of fun dress up things like jewelry, shoes and a tiara!
After a quick breakfast we got on the road and headed to Grammy's house.
We were excited to see cousin Colton when he arrived. He was wearing a cute Santa hat.
I enjoyed hanging out with him. He's sitting up now and really notices me a lot more.

Next we opened some more presents. Grammy got me a dr. outfit with my name on it. It says Dr. Schultz on the front!

She also bought me a pretty pink princess cape that has feathers on it. I put in on over my scrubs shirt.
Grandpa got me a fun rolling toy. I am supposed to stand up inside it and then roll, but I like to hang out in it. Here I am in my panties having some Christmas candy.
Here Colton and I are inside of it while we Skyped with Uncle Louis who was in Australia.
Later I used it as a hair salon as I put my new baby doll in the hair styling chair that I got from Uncle Stephen and Aunt Natalie.

Grammy took a picture of me and my baby doll in our matching pj's in front of the Christmas tree.
The next morning we got to spend more time with Colton. I wore a new dress from my Grammy.
Colton and I played together with some of his new toys.

We took a lot of pictures. Here I am with Grandpa...
 And then with Grammy too.

We also got one of just the two of us before Colton decided that he had had enough of being flashed! After having a yummy lunch with my family. We got back in the car and headed home. What a great Christmas!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we did several traditional things. Mommy and I made cookies for Santa and then I worked on decorating them.
I was quite heavy handed with the frosting and the decorations, but I had a lot of fun.
I especially liked sampling the frosting as I went along!
After frosting all the cookies, we got ready to go out for our annual Christmas Eve dinner. This year we went to a place called Wayfare Tavern in San Francisco. We got to ride the BART train. We had a good dinner and a really great dessert. We had a chocolate cream pie and a caramel apple. Yum!

On the way home on the train, Daddy showed me where Santa was on his map on the phone. By the time we arrived back in Berkeley, Santa was in Chicago. We got home and got the cookies and eggnog out for Santa, put out a couple of carrots for the reindeer and I got right to bed so I would be asleep when Santa arrived.

Ice Skating

On Christmas Eve, Daddy took me ice skating for the first time.

Here I am when I first got on the ice. I had no idea it would be so slippery and hard!

I held onto the wall while Daddy tried to help me. He is not such a good skater either so we were both a little wobbly.

Mommy took some video and had a hard time keeping the camera still because she was laughing. This is her favorite one where I almost fell and tried to take Daddy with me.

I made it around two times and then I was done. It was hard work!

Gingerbread House

The weekend before Christmas, I went over to Emma's house to decorate gingerbread houses. It was a lot of fun and we kept trying to sneak some candy. Afterwards, we played and Anna made us all lunch. Then we went home to get ready to go see a play about a little Swedish boy named Emil. Connor, Sophia and Dalia were also there. It was a fun day!

December photos

Mommy took photos of me in my red dress for the Christmas program at school for our Christmas card.

I got to go talk to Santa at the mall. I told him that I wanted a cleaning trolley. Daddy REALLY doesn't want him to bring me one. He says that he has talked to Santa and told him to bring me something else. I think I've been good enough that Santa will listen to me and not Daddy!
Here I am trying on a pair of piglet ears while we were out looking for ideas for Christmas presents.
Grandma Donna sent me a package with some fun coloring stuff and clothes inside. She also included a hat and scarf that were knitted for me by my Great Grandma Engles.

Family Day

Friday after Thanksgiving was our family day. Grammy made us Thanksgiving dinner and we got to hang out with baby Colton! We started the day with Daddy and I going on a run/bike ride together. After that we took a dip in the hotel pool before heading off to have lunch at Daddy's favorite spot, Simmzy's.

Then we headed over to Uncle Louis' and I got to play with Colton. I like holding him, but he is getting big now and he moves a lot so its hard to hold onto him.
We played with some of his toys together on the floor when he had tummy time.
I liked it when he smiled at people.
Mommy continued Uncle Stephen's tradition by buying Colton a huge sucker. We gave it to him with the wrapper still on.
He still tried to eat it, but I don't think the plastic tasted so good. Maybe next year he can taste what's  inside!

We posed for some pictures with Grammy.

And with Grandpa. Everyone was trying to get their Christams card photos done!

The next day we drove home. I was super happy to see my Shadow Badow!
