Emma came over the other night for her second sleep over. Her little sister Maya came too for the start of the evening. I got everyone into tutus so we could do some dancing!

Camping
Last weekend we joined my friend Melina and her family and their old neighbors for a camping trip to Big Basin. We drove down on Friday afternoon and got to the camp site around 4. Our car was packed to the gills! We set up our sleeping tent and then a smaller "play tent" for us girls to play in since we really enjoyed the tents.
Mommy and Daddy were in charge of dinner that first night so we had cheese and bread with grilled steaks and shrimp and couscous salad. Mommy and I made berry cobblers for dessert that we warmed up over the fire. Oh, and of course we had s'mores. Melina's friend Kendall brought pink heart marshmallows which I loved.
I loved sleeping in the tent because Daddy bought me my own blow up bed with a princess sleeping bag that zipped right onto the top! I slept well even though Daddy and the other Daddies made lots of noise and then at 2 Melina's baby sister woke up and cried a lot.
The next day we had breakfast. Mommy and I had made apple muffins and granola and then we brought some yogurt and honey and stuff to make hot cocoa. Yum. Then we took a little walk up to the camp headquarters and played around up there. We walked back to camp and had some lunch.
Then Mommy, Daddy and I took a hike to a waterfall. It was fun to walk the trails and pick up sticks and go inside tree trunks. The waterfall was really pretty and I didn't want to leave. We kept walking and crossed several bridges and then once Daddy and I went down to the creek to touch the water. It was a really fun hike and I loved hanging out with just my Mommy and Daddy.
After we got back to camp I played with Melina and Kendall. We did some bubbles, read books and we also did some coloring on the table and camp cupboard of the second campsite we had.
Melina's old neighbors were in charge of dinner the second night. They made chicken and potato cakes with salad and grilled bread and cheese. For dessert we had birthday brownies for Melina's Daddy, whose birthday was Sunday. And of course, more s'mores.
After a good night of sleep, (I slept through the crying again!) we woke up and had pancakes, bacon and eggs for breakfast before packing up and heading home.

Once we got home we headed into San Francisco for some dinner and yummy soft serve ice cream to end our weekend.

Gymnastics
I have a new coach at gymnastics. He is pushing me hard and doesn't let me be a "lazy daisy." I have learned a lot in the past few weeks. This is the move we have been working on lately. I have to have really strong arms for this one.
The other thing we are working on is being able to stick the landing on my sommersaults. I have to land on my feet and keep my hands up and not use them to help me up.

Go Go
For my birthday, Grammy got us season tickets to the Bay Area Children's Theater. This month they did the play of one of my favorite books: Go Go aka Go Dog Go. We went on Sunday with a bunch of my friends. It was lots of fun. One of the dogs (yellow dog) was one of my very first coaches at gymnastics! We had a great time watching the play. It took place at Fairy Land so afterwards, we went around to play on various things. We went on a big dragon slide, road a tiny train and a merry go round. It was a really fun day!
Here I am with the Yellow Dog (Coach Slater) and the Green Dog.
This is me with the pink dog and her really great hat!
Tavi, Melina, Kai and I rode on the Merry Go Round.
Joey, Dalia and I really liked the Dragon Slide and went down it many times.

Academy of Science
On Wednesday, Mommy, Emma and I went to San Francisco to meet up with Melina and her family at the Academy of Sciences. We began by switching outfits. Here I am wearing Emma's skirt and shirt and Emma is wearing my dress.
We started off by watching the penguin feeding and then having a snack. After that we started to head downstairs to see the fish, but we were stopped by a lady who had interesting things to show us. We saw balleen from a whale, krill, sea otter fur and a shark skull. She gave us stickers for being such good listeners.
Then we spent time downstairs looking at all the fish. We found a Nemo fish like the one on my sticker.
After some time in the rainforest exhibit looking at butterflies, we went out side for some lunch. We all had hotdogs and chocolate milk. Mommy aslo bought us some snake cookies.
After lunch we played and posed for some pictures.
Emma and I were so tired from the day that we fell asleep in the car on the way home. Mommy drove home the long way so that we had more time to sleep.
After we got home, Emma and I played dress up and used all my kitchen stuff to have a picnic in my bedroom. It was a fun day with friends.

Fourth of July
On the Fourth we decided to head over to the Memorial Park celebration again. We had a picnic on the grass while listening to and dancing to music. Then I got up the courage to try the bull ride this year. It took some convincing, but once I tried it, I was willing to take a second try.
While I was waiting, my friend Melina and her family showed up. I came back to eat some more and play with her. We got to participate in a water balloon toss and then it was off to try some more "rides."
I went on the bouncy house obstacle course. Mommy waited in line for another ride while I did that. Then I climbed part way up the rock wall.
Mommy was still waiting. Then Daddy and I waited for a while until it was my turn to try this really fun bouncing thing.
After that I was tired out so we went home for a nap. We had left over BBQ food for dinner and then got dressed to go out to watch the fireworks, again with Melina. The view was not so great (although no fog, a first for my fourths) so I had to sit on Mommy's shoulders to see while Melina sat on her Daddy's shoulders and her big brother Kai (I think he is 8) sat on my Daddy's shoulders. Then it was home to bed. I hope you all had a happy fourth too!

Third of July
Happy Fourth! Yesterday we had a BBQ at our house with some of my friends. Daddy put warm water in the wading pool so it wasn't too cold and we played in it a lot. Here is a video of us playing ring around the rosie.
We also played dress up. Mommy loves the picture of me bared legged in my pooh bear costume the best!
