Mommy brought the video camera today, but I didn't do any of the newer cool stuff I did last week, so here is a video of me working with my coach on a handstand on the bar.

Gymnastics
This weekend I got a new gymnastics outfit. I have been wanting a little pair of shorts to wear over my suit so I got a new suit and some cute black shorts. I wore them for the first time today.

Music in the Park
We have been going to music in the park by our house each week on Wednesday. We get dinner and sit on the blanket and listen to music and dance. This week it was bluegrass music. Emma and I decided to dance together while we were waiting for Maya to finish eating so we could go up front and dance near the music.

Soccer Week 2
I had soccer class again today. Last week Mommy and Daddy talked to me afterwards about the fact, that even though I am not supposed to take things from other people normally, that in soccer its ok to steal the ball from the other team. Last week, I would just stop and let the other person take the ball. I would run next to someone who had the ball, but Iwoldn't try to take it away from them.
This week I worked at trying to steal the ball and I tried to keep others from stealing it from me. This video shows me practicing my dribbling (slowly) and then the coach trying to take my ball. I didn't let him this time, even though I had a little while ago.
This is my goal video.
By the end of soccer today, my team of 4 had turned into just me. One little girl quit and then the little boy left. The other little girl just wanted to play. I was basically playing by myself against the other team! I do like it though and I did a lot better today.
This is me stopping the ball with my nose.

Soccer
I started a new soccer class this weekend. Here I am ready to go to my first session. We had to buy my jersey when we got there so here I am in my cute shorts, shin guards and new soccer shoes.
After buying my jersey(it looks like a dress on me), Daddy and I warmed up by kicking the ball around some.
Then we got started. Our coaches gave us each a ball and showed us how to dribble it. Then we had to practice, but we had to freeze every time they said so and we had to stop our ball with different body parts like our feet or our knees. Here I am stopping the ball with my belly button! Mommy and Daddy liked when the coaches told us to stop the ball with our imagination. None of us knew what to do!
Then we divided up into two groups. Our jerseys are reversible so some of us switched to the yellow side. Then they took each color and divided us up into three teams. Here I am with my coach on my team with a little girl I know through my friend Dalia. Her name is also Lily and to help know who she was talking about, Dalia named us Lily red and Lily brown.
This is my team doing a little team cheer before we got started playing.
This is the end of our cheer
I enjoyed our little game and I did a lot of running around after the ball, or the kid on the other team who had the ball.
Here I am with the ball before the other team stole it away from me!
I am running toward the wrong goal! I am not so good at getting the ball to go where I want it to, or getting it anywhere fast. I run to it really fast, but once I have it, I dribble REALLLLY slowly.
My strategy here is to keep the ball between my feet so no one can get it!
I'm on my way to the goal!
Getting ready to kick it in
I did it!
I'm slowly taking the ball back towards my goal again.
Afterwards, Lily red and I took our picture together. My friends Connor and Nathaniel are also there, but they were on different teams.
Afterwards, we went over to the Spice of Life Festival with my friend Connor and his Daddy and sister. We got our faces painted. Here I am getting painted like a rainbow butterfly.
The painting lady had a really cool paint that was rainbow colored so she could put on all the colors at one time.
Connor decided to be a dalmation. Here we are after we both got painted.
Then we walked over to the cheeseboard for a pizza snack and some dancing.
Here is my beautiful butterfly face!

Last Weekend
Last weekend was pretty busy. While Daddy was out on his Saturday run, I decided to read some books on the floor in my room. I moved my pillow and some blankets onto the floor and started reading.
After grocery shopping, the butcher, the cheeseboard AND target, I went to Juliet's princess birthday party in the park by our house. We all got to dress up in pretty clothes.
After some yummy snacks of carrots and hummus, pb&j and fruit, we got to do the pinata. It was a string pull pinata and not a hitting one, but even after all the strings got pulled, the pinata didn't break!
Juliet's Daddy helped open it all the way so we could get the goodies inside.
After the pinata it was time for Happy Birthday and some cake. I ate with the birthday girl. Yummy!
Then on Sunday we got up early and drove to Monterey to meet up with our friends Melina and Nalani and their parents at the aquarium. It was a lot of fun. We watched the tuna get fed and saw the new Great White shark. We looked at many other fish, jellyfish, the octopus and sea horses. We also spent a lot of time at the touch pool areas. My very favorite part though, was this glass window area where a wave would crash over your head and come pouring down around you. I spent a whole lot of time there.

Later we all left to go have lunch. We picked a really touristy place and it was terrible. The waitress spilled beer on Daddy's food and did nothing about it. She forgot to order Mommy's food and then couldn't remember what she ordered. Mommy finally got her food after everyone else had finished. The best part was, as the waitress explained, that due to our large party size, the gratuity was included :) How nice for her since she wouldn't have gotten a tip otherwise! What a disaster.
Last time we went to Monterey (2 years ago), which happened to be with the same family, we had a bad dining experience as well. We have decided next time to leave the touristy area in favor of downtown Monterey to try to find some decent food!

Park
Here are some videos of me at the park recently.
Daddy was trying to get me to jump off the structure so he could catch me.
We found a park in Berkeley that has those fun spinning toys that make me so dizzy.
Here I am going across the really high monkey bars at the park by our house. I used to be scared of them because they are so high off the ground.
