Easter at the Park

Today we started our morning at Farmers' Market to get some fresh peas, asparagus and strawberries. I took a ride on Daddy's shoulders and tried on his hat too.

 After the market, we went to the park in Berkeley for an Easter celebration. Here I am with the Easter Bunny (he gave me a candy)

 I sat on the fire truck all by myself.

 I went in the petting zoo and pet a tiny goat and pig and several rabbits, ducks and chickens.

Here I am waiting for my turn at the egg hunt. They divide it up by age so this year I had to wait until the third round for my turn.

 I got a whole basket full of eggs, plus 3 in my pockets and one in my hood.

 After we opened up all the eggs, Daddy loaded the empties in my hood so we could take them over to the plastic egg recycling bin.

 Here is the fireman liftting me down from the truck. I didn't cry at all.

Mommy's Birthday

Mommy and I had spring break last week. We did tons of fun stuff all week like go swimming and to the Discovery Museum. After the museuum, we met Daddy for lunch. I rode a fun little pony ride outside a store and then passed out in the car on the way home.

We both got haircuts together and had some play time at the park with various friends. I got some great bike time in too and I finally learned to push off by myself so Mommy and Daddy don't have to start me every time.





I went down the big slide at Cordinices Park all by myself as well.


On Friday, Daddy took the day off for Mommy's birthday. We went to Masses for breakfast and then drove to San Francisco for our first visit to the San Francisco Zoo. We had great sunny weather and saw lots of animals. The penguins were my favorite and the tiger and grizzly bears my least favorite. I got  my picture taken to look like a spider and a peacock too. Then we went to Triple Rock for cheese fries for lunch. After that we had some time at home and then we got dressed up to go out to dinner in San Francisco. It was a very nice day.

Saturday we went to Farmers' Market and then spent the day getting ready to have a birthday celebration at our house with some friends. Then on Sunday we went to a Frog and Toad play with my friend Joey and had lunch at Jupiter afterwards. Then I rode my bike in the park and we went to Fonda's for chips and dip and Daddy and I shared some oysters. It was a great birthday weekend for Mommy and a wonderful spring break!

Weekend Fun

After my April Fools Day potluck, I had a busy weekend. On Saturday, Mommy and I had a girls day while Daddy went to his beer contest. We played at the park and had lunch. After my nap we went to visit Daddy for a while. Then we came home to wait for Emma to come over for a sleep over. While we were waiting we learned that Daddy had won a first and second place for two of his beers. When Emma came over we immediately put on my new princess dresses.

 Then we went to get Daddy and then took him out to dinner to celebrate. After a bath we hung out on the couch watching Sleeping Beauty and eating "sushi."

 On Sunday, Emma's family brought breakfast over to share with us before they took her home. Less than an hour later we saw her again and our friend Juliet's house. Juliet's Mommy and Daddy invited 4 of us from school to play at their house. Mommy and Daddy left and then came back later to pick me up. I had a lot of fun!

Here I am combining two of my favorite activities: Gymnastics and swimming.

Potluck

We had our monthly potluck at Sofia's house on Friday. We were all in attendance except for one Mommy, so we decided to try our annual photo again. Mommy got up on a big ladder and we tried to recreate our first photo where we were all laying in a circle. The mommies and daddies didn't think about getting their feet out of the pictures so most of them have some feet. Joey wouldn't lay down either, but it was fun and we all got lollipops afterwards!

The Baby Shower

Last weekend we drove to Grammy's to have a baby shower for Aunt Natalie and Baby Blue. I got to play with my cousins Alex and Marcella while we were there. I liked helping Aunt Natalie with the presents. THe cupcakes were yummy too!
When we first saw Aunt Natalie, I was a little hesitant to put my hand on her belly, but once I felt Baby Blue kick me, I kept putting my hand on her tummy every chance I got. It was fun to see my uncles and my Grammy and Grandpa too.

Hat Parade 2011

My school has a spring hat parade every year. This year Mommy and Daddy took me to Michaels and we got to go shopping for lots of fun hat decorations. I decided on a pink cowboy hat, a multi-colored feather boa, some paints and glitter and a little girl and dog character. Daddy and I worked hard on the painting and then we all worked on gluing the boa and the girl and dog onto it.
