I have decided that rather than try to catch up on how incredibly far behind I am on the blog, I am just going to start from now and move forward. So, Easter weekend we took a plane ride to Vegas to hang out with our cousins. We flew in on Thursday and headed to our hotel where we met up with Uncle Stephen, Aunt Natalie, Colton, Caydence and Grammy for dinner. After dinner we walked around our hotel to find a treat. Fiona found chocolate ice cream. Lily found a candy store that allowed her to buy like a pound and a half of candy!
The next day we hung out by the pool all day. They had 5 pools and two hot tubs to choose from.
Grammy, Uncle Stephen and Colton and Caydence joined us midday for a while. Everyone's favorite was the hot tub!
Later that afternoon it was time for some pampering. Lily and Fiona both had manicures and pedicures.
Fiona was so tired out by the end that she fell asleep while her toes were being painted!
After that we checked out of our hotel and headed over to Uncle Stephen's house.
Here are Fi and Lily asleep on their air bed that kept deflating each night. They ended up squished together in the middle.
The next day we had some play time in the yard. Caydence and Fi played house.
Fiona pushed Caydence around in the car.
Then we all headed to a park for some play time.
Grandpa and Fiona tried out this modern teeter totter together.
Then it was back to the house for egg dyeing. We decided to remove clothing to keep it clean so we all dyed in our underwear!
Fiona decided to help out when Caydence was having lunch!
After dinner it was bath time. Fiona and her cousins took a bath together while Lily opted for a shower by herself this time.
The next morning we woke up to check out if the bunny was able to find us out here in Vegas. Lily got a shirt to match her exercise pants.
Fi liked her purse like easter basket.
Here she is posing with her loot.
Goldfish!
The crew checking things out.
Fiona got a whole bunch of lip balm.
Lily in her styling new silver high heels. Oh that bunny!
Fiona got some shiny silver sandals too!
and what Easter would be complete without orange skittles!
Then it was out front to search for the eggs the bunny hid for us. Lily found a high one in the lamp that she needed help reaching. That bunny sure is tall :)
Daddy to the rescue.
Fiona is pulling one out from under the bushes.
Here it is!
Aunt Natalie made a fancy pancake breakfast that was fun to watch as she put it together for the kids.
Here the kids are with the finished product, bunny pancakes.
Fiona wearing her easter basket as a hat.
Lily helped us hide eggs for the little kids to find and then she took over the camera to photograph the event.
Later on there was playtime in the wagon with Caydence.
And then Daddy stuffed himself in the playhouse with the little girls.
Bubbles!
Lily asked us to hide eggs for her, hard. She wasn't thrilled with the results since they were too hard.
Modeling Caydence's bunny mask.
Grammy gave everyone bunny parachutes so we went up to the second floor to try them out.
Lily and Fiona helped Aunt Natalie make macaroon nests.
Poor Uncle Stephen wasn't feeling great, but he had the energy to read to the girls.
We took a walk with the wagon. Fiona decided to pull Lily up the street on the way home.
Beautiful easter babies.
Then all the girls helped finish the nests by adding the nutella and eggs.
Our attempts at a photo of all the grandchildren...
Snack time!
Daddy got out the dominoes and Colton and Fiona decided to build with them for a while.
Lily played cards with Grandpa.
Block time.
The unfortunate end to our trip was that whatever made Uncle Stephen feel bad got to Grammy that day and then as we got on the plane the next day, it got Fiona. Daddy, Aunt Natalie, Colton, Grandpa and Lily all got it the next day and I finally ended up with it six whole days after that. But we still had fun while we were there!
